So looking for best options LoopBe30 Tobias Erichsens loopmidi Any suggestions please. What works well on my system may not work on yours, and vice versa.
LoopBe1 is free: I havent tried them since UWP MIDI was added to Sonar, so you might want to try that option with them, too. The choice just depends on how many virtual cables you need. MIDI-Ox is working fine for me as well, but I use it for diagnostic only. Then the virtual midi output of that is received by Sonar tracks. You should now be able to select your virtual MIDI ports within your host and within the MP3244 or SQ4. There are several tools which can establish virtual MIDI ports. Havent used the Bome Box for years, used the SDK in a DSP platform to create devices made in MTP so I didnt have another Box or MIDI Solutions pedal to hook up. cheerz. What OS are you on I hope if it installs a virtual MIDI port its completely standalone and doesnt affect users (like me) who have Bome setup with several virtual midi ports. Is ni using this 3rd party midi app to help improve midi functionality and give us virtual ports on windows pcs. This Bome Virtual MIDI has only appeared on my computer since updating Maschine andor KK. It cannot be independently accessed (like MIDI Translator) so it must be being used by another program. You can only find it in the Control Panel, installed programs list (Win 10), it is not shown in the program start list. Virtual Midi Port Driver And UsesThe NI installer installs the Bome Virtual driver and uses it. Virtual Midi Port Driver Comes WithThe Bome Virtual Driver comes with a separate uninstaller because it might be used by multiple applications from different companies. I also have found the Bome Virtual Midi in my laptop and Id like to know from someone if NI which program installed that, and how am I supposed to use it. My concern is that maybe it was installed together with a NI product which Ive already uninstalled, and I dont need it anymore. But I dont feel like uninstalling it without being sure. Thanks. Before uninstalling I would check any of your other Midi applications. I use Studio Ones N.I. Virtual Midi Port Full Integration AndBVMD, Studio One cannot see the Komplete Kontrol - Daw port which is required to set up full integration and use features like transport control. So Bome provides the linkbridge between Native Instrument midi controllers (Komplete Kontrol keyboards, Machine) and various DAWs which support integration. That being said, I find the connection needs to be reset frequently, but less so since I installed the latest version of BVMD. Everything was working fine but now the keyboard cannot control cubase transport etc. When I look at windows device manager I can see BomeMidi:komplete kontrol DAW. I disabled it and disconnected USB, re-booted pc and reconnected USB. Made no difference. Tried to re-enable Bome midi but the option is greyed out. Reinstalled Komplete Kontrol and could see the Bome driver being installed but now both Ableton and Cubase cannot be controlled from my S61mk2. Perhaps Bome was red flagged as a potentially unwanted app and thereupon blocked. I was having a great time moving multiple virtual drawbars on dual Hammond Drawbars with a single FC7 expression pedal. NI Bome sounds great, just another reason to celebrate Maschine and its software. Havent used the Bome Box for years, used the SDK in a DSP platform to create devices made in MTP so I didnt have another Box or MIDI Solutions pedal to hook up.
