Madison Alvarez Brunk (she/her) is a registered mental health intern, national certified counselor, and community organizer in Central Florida. Lawson is married to Amy and they have 4 children. Lawson has spoken at numerous family conferences and was hired by the Department of Defense to provide marriage enrichment training for military personnel and their families. He has reviewed articles for Communique, The Journal of Counseling and Development he also served as the editor of Counseling Connections. He has worked with the Virginia Psychological Association and has served as a board member of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS) and the Lifeline of Central Florida, a suicide prevention hotline.

He is especially proud of his recent publications in the book Counseling Techniques, and Lay Counselor Training-a training manual for counselors in India. Lawson has written books and articles covering issues of interest related to families and family therapy, sexuality, and the integration of faith and science. He has been teaching on Families, Sexuality and Couples issues for 26 years, and has spoken on the subject throughout Europe, Asia and across the United States. He then taught for 10 years in a small counseling program and during this time became licensed. He returned to Virginia and finished his clinical internship at the University of Virginia. He is a graduate of Biola University, where he received his Master’s and Doctorate in clinical psychology. David Lawson is currently a Professor of Counseling and Co-Director of the Counselor Education Programs, Palm Beach Atlantic University-Orlando Campus. She is enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, creating art and listening to good music.ĭr. Dr. Kelchner’s research interest focuses on individuals and families with unique abilities and supporting high needs youth and families through school-based family services and intervention programs. Before moving to Florida, she worked as a school-based family therapist in South Carolina. She teaches in the Marriage, Family, and Couples program. is an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida in the Counselor Education and School Psychology department. The association is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes. The purpose of the FAMFC is to enhance marriage and the family by conducting and fostering programs of education in the field of marriage and family counseling by: stimulating, promoting, and conducting programs of research in the field of couples and family counseling by conducting scientific and educational meetings and conferences by disseminating information on couples and family counseling to increase public awareness by establishing contacts with other organizations for scientific and educational pursuits by examining conditions which create barriers to marriage and families, and working to remove them and to engage in such other activities as may be desirable or required to accomplish the foregoing objectives and purposes.
